Emphasis - Focus Timer App Reviews

Im studying for the MCAT and have so many things in my mind especially other project of businesses I want to establish. This keeps me grounded with studying. The app doesnt look annoying like the other ones, instead it is simple but wonderful to look at. I hope that the look does not change but only if the creator wants to add things if necessary. Thank you! I try to get free apps , but anything that will increase my productivity I will pay for, so I bought the pro version. The world is busy and Im taking on a lot of things so I need to "hire" cheap assistants haha.

I find this app perfectly useful, great for better concentration on my work. The in-app purchases are totally worth it, but it has one thing I wish it was there: A restart button, to delete all previous achievements and progress, that would make the app perfect.

A simple, and (with in-app purchase) adjustable Pomodoro timer. It does what I need it to do. Its only problem is that the interface is so clean that its hard to find the settings. Hint: its that faint menu icon in the upper right. Also, the settings screen scrolls, so not all the adjustments are visible at first.

If I could get a notification when the timer ended (even if my screen was locked or the app was running in the background), that would be a major improvement. Secondly, add more customization features. Overall good though.

This is a clean, simple app, which is what I like in design. My only difficulty is the extremely low-contrast controls and displays. Some things are bright and obvious, but other "secondary" information is displayed in a color so close to the background I can barely read it. Specifically, the time count should be much more visible. The original designer of the Pomodoro technique recommends that "Whoever is using the Pomodoro... should always be able to clearly see how much time is left". This apps deliberately makes the time very subtle, which I feel is a mistake. Overall, however, I like this app more than most Pomodoro apps Ive seen.

This was a great app, but the latest major update introduced a lot of bugs and not all of them have been fixed. It still freezes at the start of the 3rd pomodoro, every day. iPhone 5, iOS 9. Come on, guys. One main design flaw with the update: The progress graph needs the entire iPhone screen. Its too small to be useful right now, on only 1/2 the screen. The screen should show either a graph or the list of numbers, not both at the same time. Dear Developers: USE YOUR OWN APP FOR A FEW DAYS AND FIX THE BUGS. 5 stars when this is working again.
